European Union Condemns Iran on Jimmy Sharmahd
As we continue to advocate for Jimmy Sharmahd from California, your steadfast support has been invaluable to his family and the Global Liberty Alliance team. In light of recent developments, we wanted to share some important updates and reinforce our collective commitment to justice and human rights.
The European Union recently issued a statement condemning, in the strongest terms, the execution of German-Iranian national and US legal resident Jimmy Sharmahd by Iran. We recognize that these events highlight the broader challenges Jimmy and others continue to face. Jimmy’s legal team at GLA is pursuing every possible avenue to clarify Jimmy’s current status, ensure that his rights are defended, and help bring him home.
A recent interview on News Nation with Jimmy's daughter, Gazelle, is embedded at the end of this post. We hope to have more updates soon on Jimmy's case. We will also update GLA supporters on the plight of other Americans and US nationals wrongfully imprisoned in foreign nations such as Iran, Cuba, and China.
